Personal comments/philosophy:

I have always enjoyed taking care of families. It has brought me great joy to see children grow and families support each other through health issues.  I now share my love of Family Medicine with educating Residents and creating a better training environment for them, so they can be the best Family Physicians that we need, now and for our future.

Personal hobbies/interests:

I have been fortunate to be supported in my career by a wonderful family. My parents and sisters still live on Long island but we speak often.  I met my husband Darin in college and he has always been my greatest source of strength. My daughters Carolyn and Stephanie have always understood why mom has to work and how important the work is, and have become independent and successful young women.  I am blessed that we enjoy some of the same hobbies:  travel, music, reading, watching sports and raising dogs.

Things you have most enjoyed working as a faculty member in the family medicine residency:

I love being a mentor to my Residents, finding where I can help them grow, and helping them recognize and follow their strengths so they can find the right work and balance they will need for their career.
