About Me:

I have been with the residency program since 1997, when I started residency. I had 2 years of private practice experience but continued to staff at the residency on a prn basis during that time because I liked it here so much! I am happy to be back on a regular basis. I work part-time so I can be home with my 3 children part-time. My husband, Tom, is also a Family Physician. We stay together because we don’t work together! He is in private practice in Liberty, MO. My 3 children are all full of spunk and keep me on my toes! With 3 young children, I don’t have much time for hobbies. I do manage to read some good books late at night when everyone is asleep. I like to sing at church and do step aerobics when I get the chance. I am a devotee to the science of organization. Being organized keeps my life together!

Things I Most Enjoy as a Faculty of the Residency:

I love seeing patients in both the hospital and the office. I really like the relationships I am able to form with the residents during their time here. I learn something from them every day! It is fun to see them graduate and go off to all different parts of the city and country to practice. I really enjoy hearing back from them.
