Stephanie Baker, M.D.

Life before residency:
I grew up in rural Illinois, and I am the first in my family to attend college. I went to Monmouth College for my undergraduate studies and A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri for medical school.

Memorable moments:
When I graduated from college my entire family, (parents, siblings, in-laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles) I mean everyone, surprised me by attending my graduation. My family is incredibly supportive, and they never cease to amaze me.

Why I chose RMC:
RMC goes above and beyond to make everyone they interact with feel welcome and valued. Family is very important to me, and Kansas City is far from home, but RMC has truly created its own family atmosphere. I am also impressed with the genuine patient care and top-notch education here at RMC.

Hobbies & Interests:
My husband and I enjoy hiking, biking, playing disc golf, and exploring new places. We also enjoy cooking dinner for friends and hosting board game nights.

Other interesting things about me:
My best friend in high school became my husband in medical school. He has really pushed me out of my “rural bubble”, and we have had some amazing adventures together.
